I take the train to Wickedevents. According to the Mariott website, the nearest train station to the new hotel is Morris Plains. To get from Trenton station to Morris Plains, it's an hour trip to NYC, then a transfer, and then I don't know how long to get to the other station (from what I can gather from the NJ Transit system map, anyway). That's a ridiculous amount of time that I really don't want to spend on the train.

SO.

I was hoping that maybe someone possibly could give me a lift from another station (preferably somewhere on the northeast corridor). I'm perfectly willing to contribute gas money and such.

A few folks are taking the Train to TNE, but have asked if rides may be possible from the Morris Plains train station.

...I'm posting here on their behalf, but if you have a car and might be willing to stop and grab some people on your way, that would be neat! : )

Where is the Morris Plains Station? Boyfriend and I would probably be willing to make a run or two to the station, if it's not more than about a half hour round trip.
Also, you might want to suggest folks posting here check out the offering a ride, and vs versa. :)

Morris Plains is what NJ Transit lists as the closest station to the hotel. And it's about a 5 minute ride or so away.

Oh, seriously? Well, I'm at work right now, so can't ping my boyf, but I can pretty much guarantee we can make a run or three to the station, once we get in late Friday. Is there a way to set things up here on ning so folks can text message which train they're on, what time it's gonna be getting in?

Eek, it was pointed out to me that I read it wrong. It is 5 *miles* not 5 *minutes*. But still only about 10 minutes away. Sorry for my confusion.

According to google, it is 2.2 miles away, and 6 minutes. So, actually, depending on how much stuff one's got and the weather, it could be walked in half an hour or 45 minutes.

Ya know, I can guarantee at least one train station run, cos I can definitely talk my boyfriend into that. What day were you planning to get in, friday night or sometime saturday? Honestly, I doubt he and I will be up very early on Saturday, and by very early I mean before noon, so the earliest I see us getting people from the train station saturday is 1:30. We expect to get in around 10pm friday night, tho it may work out to be closer to 11, judging from past experience.

This may be a tall order, I'm out in west chester, can get public transit to philly. anyone going thru philly? i can chip in for gas money. schedule is flexable and gas money will be donated.
